Variant Menu: Results > Energy Label
The new directives on labelling of heating devices were published on Sep 9, 2013, by the European Commission and come into effect in all member states on Sep 26, 2015.
The energy labelling is required for:
Combination heater packages including solar thermal systems are the only devices which can reach the highest efficiency class A+++.
Solar thermal systems are always part of a package, therefore the package requirements apply. A Solar thermal system does not get a label on its own, since it is not considered as a heat generator, but as efficiency technology. Tanks or pumps require a product label.
The ecodesign regulations (813 and 814/2013) specify the basic requirements of the devices: Efficiency, sound power levels, NOx emissions, and many more.
The energy labelling regulations (811 and 812/2013) describe the labelling into energy efficiency classes, how the label is to be done.
Label for Packages is given to combinations of space heater, temperature control, and solar device.
