Batteries

Creating a new entry

Create a data set by defining the various properties of the battery on the subpages.

Basic data

  1. Choose company
With the button all companies can be displayed and new ones created.

  2. Enter name for model

  3. (optional) Insert comment

  4. Determining whether the component is available.
Components that are not available are hidden in the database view by default, but can be displayed again.

  5. Enter the user ID to be used. The selected user ID determines the visibility of the record.

Electrical data

Here you define the electrical data:

  • Battery type
    • Battery type Lead-acid
      • Closed (liquid electrolyte)
      • Closed (Gel)
      • Closed (AGM) (AGM: absorbant glass mat)
    • Battery type Lithium-ion
      • Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4)
      • Lithium nickel oxide (LiNiO2)
      • Lithium nickel cobalt oxide (LiNiCO)
      • Lithium titanate
      • Lithium nickel cobalt oxide/titanate (LiNiCO-T)
      • Lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide/graphite (LiNiMgCO)
  • Cell voltage
  • Numbers of cells in series
  • Number of strings
  • Internal resistance
  • Self-discharge

Battery: Basic data and electrical data

Discharge cycles

Using the button “Calculate cycle numbers”, the discharge cycles for the respective discharge depth can be calculated automatically on the basis of the first discharge cylinder entered. Missing discharge cycles are marked with -1.

Capacity characteristic curve

Here you define the capacity characteristic of the battery. For this purpose they specify the capacity at the specified discharge time.

Mechanical variables

Here you define the mechanical sizes and specify the dimensions and weight.
