Menu Options → User data

In this section, please provide your contact details, including the name, telephone number, and email address of the designated contact person. These details will be displayed in the project report.

Additionally, you have the option to
load your company logo.
For more information, refer to the “Project Data” or “Customer Data” sections.
Internet update
Menu Options → Internet Update
Select whether the program should check for updates on the internet daily on first starting the program.
There are various extensive types of updates, e.g. program or database updates.
Requirements:

Recommendation: Software maintenance agreement, see

Technical requirements: active internet connection.
How the internet update works:

If an internet connection is available, the program checks for new program releases either once a day when starting or when you click on Check now ....

If a new release is available, GeoT*SOL® will close, and the installation program will be downloaded to the Desktop and run from there.
Proxy settings
GeoT*SOL® is using the system proxy settings of your computer to connect to the internet.
Directories
Menu Options → Set directories
In the dialog Options → Directories, you can select the directories in which projects and project reports are saved.
The following paths are set by default:
Projects: C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\ValentinEnergieSoftware\GeoT*SOL®\Projects\
Project reports: C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\ValentinEnergieSoftware\GeoT*SOL® 2020\Projects\
Clicking on the button Undo changes reverts the last change in all paths, respectively.
Product improvement
Menu Options → Product improvement
Here you can specify whether you send Valentin Software anonymous usage data. These data help us to improve GeoT*SOL®. This dialog is displayed each time the program is started. You can turn this off by activating Please do not ask any more.
