Import OND files
From version PV*SOL® 2024 R1, OND files can be imported into the database.
OND files contain specifications of inverters in text form.
They are therefore suitable for exchanging module data between different programmes.
PVSyst exports inverter specifications in the *.OND file format.
The file extension OND has its origin in the French term for inverter: Ondeleur.
How to import OND files
In the database product view of the inverters, the button
Import OND files is available under Actions:
The Import OND files action is available in the Inverter product view under Actions
Import window for OND files
Clicking on the
button opens a file selection window for selecting the OND files to be imported.
You can select several files and open them in one process.
The following figure lists OND files after they have been selected and opened:

The following columns are available in the import window for OND files:

| Manufacturer from file | The name of the manufacturer from the OND file |
| Manufacturer suggestion from database | After reading in the respective file, the manufacturer name from the file is checked against the database. An attempt is made to pre-select a manufacturer that already exists in an exact or similar form. The preselection is transferred to the creation dialogue |
| File name | The file name of the OND file |
| Status | The status indicates whether the parameters from the OND file satisfy our validity check. Any invalid or missing values can be corrected or added in the creation dialogue |
| Import | This button opens the product dialogue for the respective inverter, which is created from the OND file |
| DB User ID | A list of your user IDs. The preselection is transferred to the creation dialogue |
The preselection for the manufacturer and the user ID can be adjusted in the creation dialogue for inverters and subsequently during editing.
Import of an OND file as an inverter
Click on the button
of the respective OND file from the list to open a message window.
You will be prompted to check the parameters that are not present in the OND files or have been calculated by PV*SOL®.

After confirming the note, the creation dialogue for inverters opens. This was pre-filled with the parameters from the OND file. All values can be adjusted as usual.
