Software activation

If you have already activated PV*SOL® with a perpetual license and would like to switch to a user license, you can find information about this in the relevant help section on perpetual licenses.

To be able to use PV*SOL® with all its features, you need to activate the software. To activate the program with a user license, you must register once and create your sign-in details:

If you have installed PV*SOL® and the program is available as trial version, you can activate the software either directly when starting the program or during use. When starting the program, a dialog appears indicating the remaining trial period. If the program is already running, you can open the same dialog via the menu Help > Licensing.

Support for perpetual licenses ends in April 2026!
With the expiration of the last maintenance contracts, support for perpetual licenses in our software products will end. Program versions released from April 7, 2026 onwards can no longer be activated with a perpetual license.

Select User license, click and follow the steps in section Enter your sign-in details. If you would alternatively want to activate PV*SOL® with a perpetual license, please follow the steps in the corresponding help section on Software activation with perpetual license.

Enter your sign-in details

To activate the program with a user license, you must register once and create your sign-in details (see video above). In addition, a valid user license must be assigned to your email address. If necessary, please contact a License Manager of your company.

After clicking the button, you can enter your sign-in details (email address and password). The input is made in a separate dialog that opens in the foreground:

After you have successfully signed in, you will be redirected to the License Information dialog.

Your sign-in details are always transmitted in encrypted form and your password is not stored on your computer.

After activation with a user license, your user authentication remains valid for a limited period of time. You will need to re-enter your sign-in details from time to time.
